Deptulski brings over twenty years of experience in the defense and
aerospace industries (twelve
in international trade compliance) as well as
over two years in private law practice. Directly involved in the
development of export control and compliance programs in the legal
departments at two Fortune 100 companies, she is highly knowledgeable
in State (ITAR), Commerce (EAR), and Treasury Department (OFAC)
regulations.
She teaches accredited online courses for the International
Import-Export Institute at www.expandglobal.com, and has lectured at
seminars and participated in "Best Practices Roundtables" both within
industry and for trade industry groups, including the Hartford,
Connecticut Chapter of the National Contract Management Association and
the Massachusetts Export Center in Western Massachusetts.

in review and development of their export compliance programs,
including the

Provide both awareness and focused
international trade compliance training.
Review and revise policies and procedures,
including policy statements, deemed export and foreign national visitor
and employee procedures, use of exemptions, and purchase order and
shipping
requirements and documentation.
Perform assessments, test, review and
implement corrective measures as required, and assist in intranet
website development. Assist in preparing Voluntary Disclosures.
Coordinate with the U.S. Department of
State, Commerce and other government agencies as necessary to resolve
export issues and administrative and regulatory requirements affecting
exportability of companies’ products.
Train and assist in the preparation of
applications
for export licenses as required by the ITAR, EAR, and OFAC for the
export and import of products, technical data and services.
Provide guidance in the determination of
Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCNs), United States Munitions
List (USML) and Schedule B numbers. Draft Commodity Jurisdiction
Requests to the Department of State.
Provide due diligence review of companies
considered for merger or acquisition.
June
earned an A.S. in Business Administration in 1990 from MitchellCollege,
a B.S. in Business Administration in 1994 from the University
of New
Haven, a
J.D. in 2001 from the University
of Connecticut,
and an LLM in
Taxation in 2004 from BostonUniversity.
She is
licensed to practice law in Connecticut
state and federal courts, as well as the U.S. Tax Court.
